Emotional Regulation Therapist in Ontario
The Care That Makes Rylie Stand Out
Rylie Farness is an emotional regulation therapist supporting children and families across Ontario. She has spent three years working in a therapeutic setting since completing her Bachelor of Social Work at Nipissing University in 2023 — walking alongside children and families through difficult emotions, communication challenges, and the daily work of staying regulated.
She believes trust and collaboration sit at the heart of effective therapy, and it shows. Warm, empathetic, and adaptable, Rylie recognizes that every person's experience is unique. She meets you exactly where you are, building a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
As a Master of Social Work practicum student at the University of Windsor, Rylie is passionate about helping clients move through anxiety, difficult emotions, low self-confidence, and emotional regulation. She's especially drawn to strengths-based therapy and continues to deepen her skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy.
What Your Sessions With Rylie Will Feel Like
Warm. Collaborative. Never rushed.
Sessions with Rylie are shaped around you — your pace, your goals, your words. Whether you're a young person, a parent, or somewhere in between, she helps you build practical tools to feel more grounded, more confident, and more in control of what's happening inside.
You won't be handed a formula. You'll be met with curiosity.
Does This Sound Like What You're Going Through?
Maybe the big feelings arrive faster than you can name them. Maybe anxiety has quietly taken up more room than it used to. Maybe you're a parent watching your child struggle with emotions neither of you has language for yet.
Maybe you're stretched thin by stress, burnout, or a season of change — and your confidence has taken the hit.
If any of this feels familiar, you're not alone. This is exactly where the work with Rylie can begin.
Rylie Might Be the Support You've Been Looking For
Rylie's focus is on what's already strong in you — not what's broken. Her strengths-based, person-centred approach means the work starts from your capability, then builds the tools around it.
Her main areas of focus include anxiety and worry, anger management and emotional regulation, stress, burnout and overwhelm, self-esteem and self-confidence, and life transitions.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, big emotions, or a hard chapter, Rylie meets you there.
