Anxiety & Life Transitions Therapist in Ontario

The Care That Makes Lisa Stand Out

Long before Lisa Oram became a therapist, she spent her days in a classroom — and that changes everything about how she shows up.

For over 15 years, Lisa worked as an elementary educator, guiding children and families through the everyday work of growing up: big feelings, hard days, and the quiet business of learning to feel safe. That career gave her something you can't get from a textbook — a deep, instinctive understanding of emotional wellbeing, relationship-building, and how to create a space where people feel steady enough to open up.

Today, she brings that same gift to her work as a psychotherapist. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and person-centred. Lisa believes every person deserves to be met with curiosity instead of judgment, and she's most at home building genuine therapeutic relationships where you can explore your experiences at your own pace — never rushed, never graded.

As a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology practicum student at Yorkville University, Lisa is passionate about supporting people through life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, and the many changes that come with parenthood and family life. She's especially drawn to trauma-informed care, and continues to deepen her learning in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, and narrative therapy.

What Your Sessions With Lisa Will Feel Like

Curiosity, not judgment. Pace, not pressure.

Sessions with Lisa feel like being met by someone genuinely interested in you — your story, your strengths, and whatever brought you to her door. Whether you're navigating anxiety, a season of change, or the emotional weight of parenting, she helps you slow down, feel understood, and find your footing again.

Does This Sound Like What You're Going Through?

Are you feeling stretched thin by anxiety, a major life change, or the constant demands of family life? Do you find yourself overwhelmed, on edge, or unsure how you got so far from feeling like yourself?

You don't have to have it all figured out to begin. Lisa might be the support you've been looking for.

She's especially glad to walk alongside those navigating anxiety, life transitions, stress and burnout, parenting and motherhood, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and relationship challenges — always through a warm, collaborative, trauma-informed lens.
